SIKESTON - Arline S. Taylor, 83, died Aug. 11, 2004, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born June 4, 1921, in Ashflat, Ark., daughter of the late Jeff and Eula Kent Shelley, she had worked at the Elite Shop in Sikeston before retiring. She was a member of the First Assembly of God, where she was active in many groups.
On Dec. 25, 1938, in Lepanto, Ark., she married Ervin Taylor who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Jerry Taylor of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Ron Rogers of St. Louis and Marilynn and Gene Greable of Winnetka, Ill.; one sister, Clevil Shelley of Blue Springs; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Orphis Shelley and William Shelley.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Ronald Tate, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Bruce Rogers, Greg Rogers, Chris Cimaglio, Mark Greable, Brent Taylor and Brandon Taylor.
