CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Lucille Bennett, 76, died March 13, 2004, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 4, 1927, near Parma, daughter of the late Roosevelt and Sylvia Estele Ramsey Hart, she had worked as a seamstress for Elders Manufacturing Co. in Bloomfield. She had lived most of her life in Bloomfield and Dexter and had lived the past two years in Cape Girardeau. A member of the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, she had also been a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter.
One brother, Henry "Hank" Hart, and one sister, Clarice Goldsmith, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Bennett of Cape Girardeau; one brother and sister-in-law, Miles Ezra and Wanda Hart of Henderson, Ky.; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vera Ross and Ruth and Jack Jennings of Dexter and Helen and Bill McClintick of Williamsburg, Va.
Visitation is from noon Tuesday until time for services at 2 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Sam Ramdial of Cape Girardeau and the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
