SIKESTON -- Dee Bailey, 74, died March 13, 2004, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Aug. 1, 1929, in Lapanto, Ark., daughter of the late P.F. and Effie Mae Dabbs Clay, she had been a secretary and bookkeeper for First Star Bank and Tetra Pak before her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Carl H. Bailey, who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2002.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Karla Kim Bailey and Terry Bax of Ballwin; one son and daughter-in-law, Carlton Clay and Stacy Bailey Sr. of Yukon, Okla.; one sister, Dorothy Springs of Broken Arrow, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Christopher Dye of Sikeston, Logan Bailey Dye of Denver, Colo., Carlton Clay Bailey Jr., Cody Wayne Bailey, Kelsey Ann Bailey, Dakota Bolin and Shelby Bolin, all of Yukon and Chris Bax and Ryan Bax of St. Louis; and two great-grandchildren, Alex Bailey Dye and Austin Bewley of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Harold Norton, director of senior adult ministries for First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
