CHAFFEE - Virginia Finch, 95, died at 6 p.m. Dec. 29, 2003, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born Feb. 20, 1908, in Rockview, daughter of the late William J. and Fannie Miller Belk, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She served as district officer for WSCS, managed the Methodist Thrift Shop in Chaffee for many years and was a volunteer for Chaffee RSVP. She was a teacher for Rockview School from 1915-27 and owned Maxine's Drive-In for several years.
On Dec. 24, 1929, she married Forrest Finch who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1985.
One brother also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Rose Pobst and Maxine Pepple of Chaffee; and 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Pobst, Shawn Pobst, David F. Pepple, Daniel Pepple and Garrett Pepple.
