SCOTT CITY - Dorothy Louise Fowler, 74, died at 1:26 a.m. Dec. 30, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 8, 1929, in Perkins, daughter of the late Lyle and Belle Phegley Newlin, she was an assembly line supervisor for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Corporation in St. Louis before retiring. She was a member of the New Life Gospel Center in Scott City.
On Jan. 20, 1956, in St. Louis, she married Albert John "Jay" Fowler who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, John Fowler and Jerry Lee Fowler of Scott City; two daughters, Peggy Daniels of St. Peters and Jane Griffard of Ste. Genevieve; three stepdaughters, Donna Williams of Whitewater and Barbara Fisher and Jeffrey Fowler of Cape Girardeau; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, four sisters and two grandsons.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday until service time at 2 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Jack Owens and the Rev. Ernest Kight will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Austin Fowler, Shaun Kinsey, Justin Braun, Doug Cotner, Scott McCormick and John David Kight.
