HAYTI - Lois Rose Shrader, 92, died Dec. 28, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 22, 1911, at LaMonte, daughter of the late Josie and George Price Rose, she was a retired school teacher and member of the Hayti United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Hayti Women's Club, Hayti Garden Club and co-founder of the Girl Scouts in Hayti.
On March 8, 1935, in Piggott, Ark., she married John Wesley Shrader Jr. who preceded her in death on March 30, 1989.
Survivors include: one son, John Wesley Shrader III of Hayti; one daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Dr. Don Cento of Sikeston; and one grandson, Don Cento Jr. of Dallas, Texas.
Also preceding her in death were one granddaughter, Angela Cento; and two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti with the Rev. Sue Cubbage officiating.
Pallbearers were: Herbert DeWeese, Jim Cook, Mark Cartee, Joe Cento, Dr. Don Cento Sr. and Don Cento Jr.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
