ORAN -- Kellee Griffin and Nathan Holmes exchanged wedding vows in a 6 p.m. June 7, 2003, ceremony before Dr. Tony Tanner, uncle of the bridegroom, on the lawn of Bill and Bonnie Holmes' residence in Oran, where the wedding reception was also held.

The bride is the daughter of Roy Griffin of Oran and Deanna Tierney of Round Rock, Texas, and her husband is the son of Bill and Bonnie Holmes of Oran.

Providing music for the occasion were vocalists Jill Chrusciel and Larry Chasteen. Musicians were Larry Chasteen, Rick Irwin and Kent Blocker.

The bride and bridegroom made their entrance to the ceremony in a white horse drawn carriage provided and driven by Calvin LeGrand of Oran. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fully beaded gown with spaghetti straps and a long train.

Tara Griffin of Round Rock served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alicia Webb of Oran, friend of the bride; Elizabeth Griffin of Oran, sister of the bride; Christa Griswell of Oran, friend of the bride; and Michele Nichols of Mokain. Abby Chrusciel, daughter of Tom and Jill Chrusciel of Jackson, was flower girl.

Justin Hahn of Oran served his friend as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Irwin of Oran, friend of the bridegroom; Jeremy Griffin of Oran, brother of the bride; Brian Hulshof of Kelso and Jesse Branson of Oran. Ring bearer was Michael Porter, son of Jim and Jennifer Porter of Sikeston.

Kenny Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Joaquin Anderson and Ben Anderson, all of Sikeston, were candlelighters.

Serving guests at the reception were Glenn and Susan Nothdurft of Oran; Ron and Valerie Abernathy and Eileen Meier of Jackson; Gerry and Jane Shinn of Gordonville; Lori Boardman, Laura Hendley, Connie Thompson, Vivian Boyer, Rosalie May and Arlene Roberts, all of Sikeston; Dale Leikam of Kansas City, David Hamm of Benton; Dawn Martin of Cedar Park, Texas; and Darla Kelley of Round Rock.

Following a honeymoon to Nashville, Tenn., the new Mr. and Mrs. Holmes are making their home in Oran.
