BASTROP, Texas - Thelma Dossett, 84, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Dec. 19, 2003, at the Silver Pines Care Center in Bastrop.
Born Dec. 7, 1919, in Roadhouse, Ill., daughter of the late Ben and Etto Brown Griffith, she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bastrop. She was a former member of the Baptist Church in Bertrand, Mo.
Her husband, Claude E. Dossett, preceded her in death on July 24, 1999.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles Shaw of Bertrand and Donald Shaw of Bastrop; one daughter, Cheryl Becker of Bolling Green, Mo.; one brother, Charles Griffith of California; and 13 grandchildren, two adopted grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
One son, John David Shaw, also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Lee Fansler, pastor of the Sikeston Community Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie, Mo.
