CLARKTON - Homer Day, 77, died May 2, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.

Born Nov. 11, 1926, in Holcomb, son of the late William Elmore and Belle Dickerson Day, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and of the Assemblies of God belief.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael Harrison of Blytheville and Dale and Brenda Day of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and George Flowers of St. Louis and Janet and Terry McNew of Sikeston; one brother, Junior Day of Sikeston; two sisters, Flora Harvell of Grandin and Juanita Davidson of Jonesboro, Ark.; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Day; and one sister, Mary Louise Thornberry.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Graveside military rites were conducted at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
