SIKESTON - Donnie Ray Hyslip, 52, died March 16, 2002, at his home.
Born Nov. 14, 1949, in Sikeston, son of the late Rev. Virgil and Evelyn Walters Hyslip, he was a U.S. Veteran of the Vietnam War and a self-employed building contractor.
Survivors include: one son, Chauncey Ray Hyslip of Sikeston; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Linda Hyslip of Kalispell, Mont., Jim and Kathy Hyslip of Lexington, Ala., and Ken and Karen Hyslip of Sikeston; two granddaughters, Brooke Rae Hyslip and Brianna Morgan Smith of Lilbourn; two nephews and three nieces, Joshua and Rebecca Hyslip of Kalispell, Matthew and Rhonda Hyslip of Lexington and Melissa Hyslip of Sikeston; the mother of his son, Esperanza Hyslip of Fort Myers, Fla.; and a special friend, Susan Clarke of Sikeston.
One niece, April Dawn Hyslip, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.
Military graveside honors will be conducted at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
