SCOTT CITY - Donald Lee Calhoun Sr., 67, died at 6:15 p.m. May 1, 2004, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 10, 1936, in Scott City, son of the late Charles and Ethel May Jones Calhoun, he was a truck driver for West Lake Quarry and veteran of the U.S. Army. A member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau, he and his wife owned and operated Sands Pancake House since 1997.
On Oct. 4, 1996, at Benton, he married Betty Berghoff who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons, Donnie Calhoun and Larry Calhoun of Bell City, J.D. Calhoun of Las Vegas and Darrin Berghoff of Jackson; two daughters, Teresa Keller and Taryn Berghoff of Scott City; one brother, James Calhoun of Scott City; one sister, Marie Hilderbrand of Springfield; and 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
One son, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Joe Hudson will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
