Walter B. Woods

SIKESTON - Walter B. Woods, 73, died Sept. 17, 2004, at his home in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 14, 1930, in Calera, Ala., to the late Willie and Velma Johnson Woods, he was a substitute teacher for the Bell City Schools and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his aunt, Charlotte Jones of Elkton, Mich.; one nephew, Andrew Woods, of Snellville, Ga.; and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston. Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Bethel Temple AME Church with the Rev. Terry McKee officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
