CHARLESTON - Callie Mae Dixon Rivers, 84, died March 12, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Feb. 4, 1920, in Thompson Bend, daughter of the late Ozark and Essie Mae Martin Dixon, she received her education in Thompson Bend and from Charleston Schools. She was a member of the Grand Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church.
On Nov. 11, 1939, she married Quincy Adam Rivers who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: four daughters, Doris Hughes of Saginaw, Mich., Carolyn Perkins of Naperville, Ill., Hattie Davis of Toledo, Ohio, and Cherlene Mixon of Charleston; two brothers, Robert Dixon of Baltimore, Md., and Herbert Dixon of Saginaw; two sisters, Rosemary Smith of Sikeston and Pauline Silverado of Danville, Ill.; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One daughter, six brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home in Charleston.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church in Charleston with Bobby Waters officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
