SIKESTON - Phyllis Colley, 80, died Feb. 27, 2002, at her home.
Born March 2, 1921, in Sanford, Maine, daughter of the late Harold Woodman and Iris Mace Treadwell, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. A registered nurse, she was the last administrator of the Sikeston General Hospital. She worked for Dr. A.P. Sargent and Dr. John Sargent for 27 years before retiring.
On June 27, 1944, in New York, N.Y., she married Leonard Colley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Sandra Colley and Keith and Rosetta Colley of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Muriel Treadwell of York, Maine; one brother-in-law, Stanley Colley of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Brooke Harrell of Cape Girardeau and Celeste Colley and Kathryn Colley of Sikeston; and four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Nix, Benjamin Nix and Lauren Nix of Fenton and Christopher Harrell of Cape Girardeau.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. David Jackson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Harrell, Benjamin Nix, Jeremy Nix, Don Baker, Jim Terrell, Bill Branum, Alan Keenan and Bill Munger.
