The robbery occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
According DPS Director Drew Juden, the masked subjects took cash and fled from the scene. A DPS detective chased one suspect from the scene but lost sight of him in a residential area. Anthony Noel Jr., 17, was stopped a short distance from the scene of the crime by a responding patrol officer but was released when the victim was unable to make an identification.
Following a two-hour investigation, Noel and Desmond S. Jackson, 18, were arrested. Items recovered during the investigation include the gun, masks and clothing worn by the suspects during the crime.
Scott County Assistant Prosecutor Paul Boyd issued warrants Wednesday charging each suspect with first degree robbery, a class A felony, and armed criminal action, also a felony.
