SIKESTON - Doris Redd, 47, died March 7, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born April 29, 1957, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Leland and Betty Redd Baker, she was a graduate of Sikeston High School and Lane College in Jackson, Tenn. She was an elementary teacher for Sikeston Public Schools, retiring after 20 years of service, and was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary and on the bulletin committee.
Survivors include: four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Betty and Larry Williams and Patsy and Herschell Townsend of Sikeston, Joanne Redd of Houston, Texas, and Janice and Lafayette Hughes of Memphis, Tenn.; seven brothers and three sisters-in-law, James Redd of Toledo, Ohio, Charles and Lisa Redd of Grand Prairie, Texas, Alfred and Dianne Redd of Greensboro, N.C., Demegee and Sandy Redd of Charleston and Jessie and Mollye Redd, Wilbur Redd and Alvin Redd of Sikeston; and a special friend, Wilma Theus of Jackson, Tenn.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ. The Rev. Richard Lee, pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
