CHARLESTON -- Emily Elizabeth Hobbs and Matthew Brian Wright were married Aug. 9, 2003, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Monsignor Michael Swalina performed the double-ring ceremony. Acolytes were Jordan Duenne and Taylor Duenne of Charleston, cousins of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Stowell and Deborah Hobbs of Charleston. Her grandparents are Ruth Duenne of Charleston, Luella Hobbs of Portageville and the late DeSales Duenne and Stowell Hobbs.

Parents of the bridegroom are Stephen and Ava Huffstutler and Larry and Teresa Wright of Sikeston. He is the grandson of Stella Wright of Holcomb and the late Floyd Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Virgal Mosley.

Music coordinator, organist and vocalist was Terry Parker of Charleston. Betina Moxley of Charleston was flutist and violinist was Beverly Reece of Cape Girardeau.

Laurel Fullen of Germantown, Tenn., attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Wright of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bridegroom and Mary Clare Hobbs and Tess Hobbs of Charleston, sisters of the bride. Flower girls were Rachel Miller and Andrea Miller of Christopher, Ill.

Best man was Larry Wright, father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Keith McCord of Sikeston, Kevin McCord of Waco, Texas, and Brad Blanchard of Sikeston, friends of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Gabe Wheeler of Sikeston, cousin of the bridegroom.

Guest book attendants were Shelly Stinnett and Devon Barker of East Prairie, friends of the bride.

A reception and dance was held at the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bridegroom's family, was held Aug. 8 at the Malone Avenue Grill in Sikeston.

Following a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Wright are residing in Sikeston where both are employed by the First Security State Bank.
