SIKESTON - A man was wounded in a shooting incident reported early Sunday morning.
The Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to a shots fired call at approximately 12:01 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of West Gladys Street.
According to the report issued by DPS, the first officer to arrive at the scene located a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Upon stopping and checking the vehicle, Kena Hatcher was found with a single gunshot wound to his hand. He was transported to Missouri Delta Medical Center for treatment and was listed in good condition.
A female, who was arrested in connection with the shooting, was later released, pending review of the case by Scott County Prosecutor Paul Boyd.
Warrants are being sought on four subjects involved in the incident, according to DPS.
