HUMBOLDT, Tenn. - Gladys R. Adamson, 86, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 9 a.m. April 12, 2004, at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1918, in Marble Hill, Mo., daughter of the late Amos and Allice Parlee Davault Rhodes, she was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston. She worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Charleston, Mo., for 10 years and retired in 1983.
On April 10, 1937, in Bloomfield, Mo., she married Elba Adamson who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1979.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles Adamson of Humboldt and Larry Adamson of Stuttgart, Ark.; two daughters, Willie Kuhlmann of Humboldt and Donna Byrd of Benton, Ky.; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Murray Lane Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
