Florence Ferrell

BENTON - Florence Kathryn Ferrell, 89, died at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 19, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 13, 1915, in Grayridge, daughter of the late Silas Whitney "Buck" and Rebecca Kathryn Tate Hooper, she was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Benton and the Benton Extension Club.

On Sept. 16, 1933, at Charleston, she married Marvin Glyn Ferrell Sr. who preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1995.

Survivors include: one son, Marvin "Glyn" Ferrell Jr. of Benton; two daughters, Mary Jo Dirnberger and Ann Beggs of Cape Girardeau; and 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One son, three brothers and two great-grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.

Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time at 10 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Lowe will officiate.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.

Pallbearers will be: Paul Dirnberger, Steve Dirnberger, Douglas Beggs, Cameron Beggs, Trae Ferrell, Kyle Ferrell, Mark Dirnberger, John Dirnberger and Daniel Ferrell.
