CROWDER - Ruby Pauline Jones, 77, died at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 20, 2003, at the DeSoto Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Miss.
Born Aug. 18, 1926, in Greenfield, Tenn., daughter of the late Ezra Clinton and Irene Robinson Cantrell, she had lived in the Sikeston area most of her life and was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church. She had currently been residing in Horn Lake, Miss.
On Jan. 11, 1945, in St. Louis, she married William Gilbert Jones who preceded her in death on April 16, 1995.
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Sharon Jones of Sikeston, Jimmy and Kimmi Jones of St. Louis and Billy Jones of Horn Lake; five daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Glenn Stanley of Henderson, Ky., Irene and Wayne Stovall and Patricia and Bill Lingle of Horn Lake, Karen and Gilbert Hutchcraft of Sikeston and Dorothy and Ted Eubank of Edmund, Okla.; one brother, L.J. Cantrell of Lincoln, Mich.; one sister, Virginia Dial of Anderson, Ind.; and 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Five brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Cecil Adams of Sikeston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Scott, Craig Karnes, Eugene Adams, Terry Lingle, Norman Lingle and Chuck Lingle.
