Speakout 1/22

Thursday, January 22, 2004

To the person who called SpeakOut about injections for heelspurs by a local doctor, I know several people who have had them here and I have had them also. There were no problems. The doctor was really good.

I was reading where someone is asking about injections in the feet for spurs. I have had something done. This is something personal. They need to say why they want to know before anyone puts a phone number in the paper.

I've had foot injections and would be more than happy to speak with you if you would put your number in the paper, because I do not want my number in the paper.

I would like to SpeakOut about Mr. Jensen's President. My President likes to spend our money. The deficit is getting larger and larger. Do you think he has a heart when he sees the homeless people on TV? The old people can't afford doctors and drugs when they need them. He has been the worst president we have ever had. We need a good, honest man in the White House and I don't think he is the one.

I would like to compliment the employees of Missouri Delta Medical Center. When I was there in August, I received the best of care. I had been transferred to ICU and got the best of care. Don't put the hospital down. I died and they brought me back with the help of God, and I thank God for people like that.

Thank good for medical support when we really needed it. I would like to thank the staff and management of Missouri Delta Medical Center. I was in there on Jan. 7 and would like to thank the staff on 3F wing. You know who you are. I would also like to thank my doctor and the people who did my surgery. They were caring and compassionate for me. May God bless each and every one of you. I hope you have a wonderful year.

It was just a nightmare when I was standing at a Main Street intersection this afternoon. My 2-year-old kicked my 4-wheel-drive out of gear and I didn't know how to get it back in. The people who helped me were very nice.

I ran a business in Mississippi County for almost 25 years. I have dealt with farmers and the general public all my life and whoever "Santa Claus" is, he is right. The farmers have it made. They have asked me to do things that I am not proud of, but I had to make a living. One thing about it, now I don't have to kiss their butts anymore. They are the first ones to ask for credit and the last ones to pay. The only ones you can count on are the ones who are on a fixed income. If they can't pay their whole bill, they come in and pay what they can.
