Call 471-6636

I lost my billfold on July 31 at Sanders Produce Market north of Sikeston. If you found it, please keep the money and return the billfold. I need my driver's license. The credit cards have been canceled.

It was brought up last year in a school board meeting about drug testing kids in the school system. As a concerned parent, I believe this issue needs to be addressed and implemented for this school year. Also, I believe that not only students should be tested, but some of the teachers in our school system as well. Teachers set examples for kids; athletes set examples for other kids; cheerleaders set examples for other kids. If you represent the East Prairie School system, be proud and be clean.

I'm calling about the lady who called SpeakOut about the west end of town. We live in the west end. We are not poor and we're just as good as you happen to be. We don't go to the health department. We go where we pay for what we get; we don't depend on the health department.

I would like to give a rebuttal on what the people said about the Montgomerys and this town. Let me tell you something. I have known the Montgomerys for years and it if it had not been for them at one time, I would have had no food at all. And when you talk about Mr. Joel, you're totally wrong; and Richard. You don't know what you're talking about. And as far as the Sikeston Health Department, if anybody needs to be investigated, it's Scott County Health Department here in Sikeston. They don't treat men for their sickness; all they treat is women and children. And I happen to know firsthand that is a preference. There is more lies and deceit goes on in that place than ever, so you better check your story.

I want to buy purple hull peas. If anyone has them for sale, please leave a number in SpeakOut and I will call. I need a couple of bushels of them.

After listening to citizens complain about higher taxes, George Bush responded by allowing major corporations to rip off your retirement account, your 401K and your stock portfolio. Then he has the gall to give these same rip-off artists a tax break. What's next? Fueling your money through your electric and water bills? Ironically, that is just what is his intention to do. Remember when he said, "Character counts?" What a joke.

This is response to "Economy is on its way back up." Where? Bush says a lot of things that aren't true. He's just a big liar. Where are all the jobs he's talking about. People can't make a living on minimum wage. If he thinks they can, he should try it. By the time he gets out of office it will take a Democrat a long time to get back on track. The Republicans have set us back 20 years. We'll never make it out.

I live in the 300 block of East Gladys Street and wonder if the street sweeper had been in my block lately. There's quite a bit of stuff on my part of the street.
