Claude Haubold

SIKESTON - Claude C. "Lard" Haubold, 76, died Dec. 26, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Sept. 27, 1927, in Marston, son of the late Edward E. and Sinda B. Till Haubold, he was a heavy equipment operator for Associated Electric and was a member of the Scott County Sheriff's Posse. He was a member of the Sikeston Community Church, where he was baptized on Father's Day, June 15, 1997.

On June 11, 1977, he married Barbara Walker Briggs who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and John Parsons of Sikeston; one brother, Paul Haubold of Marston; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Parsons of Sikeston; a grandson, Joshua R. Parsons of Sikeston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Lee Fansler, pastor of the Sikeston Community Church and the Rev. Dolan Rogers, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Armer Cemetery near Bertrand.
