DELTA -- The Scott County Central Braves continued their resurgence Monday afternoon, beating the Delta Bobcats 5-4.
Scott Central trailed 4-1 in the top of the sixth inning when Scott Central began their comeback. After cutting the lead to 4-2 the Braves' Jeremy Johnson blasted a two-run home run to tie the game.
In the top of the seventh, Chris Pobst came to the plate after singles by Josh Woods and Andrew Pullen. Pobst then followed with a hit that drove in Woods with the go-ahead run.
Scott Central pitcher Daniel Holman held Delta at bay in the bottom of the inning, evening the Braves record at 5-5 on the season.
"It's probably been the early '90s since they've won this many games," said Scott Central coach Marty Vines. "They are playing just awesome right now."
Holman picked up the win, throwing a complete game allowing only three hits while striking out 15.
Pobst, Pullen, Woods and Johnson each had two hits apiece for Scott Central.
The Braves will play again Thursday when they travel to Advance.
