A family that kicks together, sticks together, is their motto. Pictured from left are black belt-ranked taekwondo martial artists John Warren, 2nd degree; his mother, Barbara Warren, 1st degree; her brother, Billy Thomure, first degree; and his daughter, Lydia Thomure, second degree. Warren was the first of them to study a martial art beginning under Master Steve Dunn at the Sikeston Moo Sul Kwan in 1992. Next was Lydia Thomure who started under Dunn at the Charleston Moo Sul Kwan in 1996 and continued at the Sikeston school after the Charleston location closed in 1997. Mrs. Warren was the next to start under Dunn in 1996 at the Sikeston school. Thomure followed in 1998, but under the Sikeston school's present instructor, Garry Meeks, 3rd degree. Thomure was promoted to the rank of 1st degree black belt on April 4. Next in line for a black belt in the family is Thomure's wife, Jennifer Thomure, who is presently ranked at blue belt in hapkido.
