CARUTHERSVILLE - The search continues for a man who robbed a grocery store Friday evening.

Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell said his department received a call at 7 p.m. Friday that a black male dressed in black and wearing a black sock hat came into the Wardell Food Center, displayed a weapon and demanded money. After the clerk gave him the money bag, he left the store on foot, traveling in an easterly direction.

Deputies and officers from the Wardell Police Department searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

One person was questioned in connection with the incident, the sheriff said.
