MATTHEWS - Dallas R. Waldo, 68, died at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10, 2002, at his daughter's home near East Prairie.
Born Jan. 17, 1934, in Crossville, Tenn., son of the late Robert Lee and Lucy Ann Cox Waldo, he lived in Matthews and East Prairie most of his life. He was a retired electrician and carpenter and was of the Pentecostal belief.
On Feb. 2, 1979, he married Pamela Dean Bailey who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: seven sons, Robert Bailey Waldo of Rome, Ga., Dallas Lee Waldo and Daniel Blaine Waldo of Matthews, Anthony Brian Loden, Robert Lee Loden, Dallas Robert Loden and Michael Wayne Loden of Crossville, Tenn.; two daughters, Pamela Dawn Waldo of East Prairie and Kimberly Reed of Crossville; two brothers, Andy Waldo and Eb Waldo of Crossville; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Misty Dawn Loden; one sister, Gladys Waldo; three brothers, Blaine Waldo, Willie Waldo and Doc Waldo; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. George White, pastor of the First Baptist Church of East Prairie, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Derrick Cummins, John Ponder, John Chanley, Terry Shands, Terry Reed and Charlie Maxwell.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Stewart.
