POPLAR BLUFF - Mary Olene Miller, 78, died Dec. 7, 2003, at the Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Born Nov. 17, 1925, in Naylor to the late Rainey L. and Effie McGowen Bishop, she had lived in Dexter for 39 years before moving to Poplar Bluff in 1987. She was a retired employee of Elder Manufacturing and was a member of the Cornerstone Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff.

On Nov. 6, 1944, at Piggott, Ark., she married William A. Miller, who preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1985.

Also preceding her in death was one sister, Vivian Smith.

Surviving are: two sons, Troy D. Miller of Columbia and Michael R. Miller of East Prairie; two daughters, Rene Breland and Cindy Decker of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Bob Bishop of Jackson, Tenn., Wayne Bishop of Turlock, Calif., and Everett Bishop of Dexter; two sisters, Ruth Gunn and Janette Curtis of St. Louis; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dennis Breland of Poplar Bluff will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
