The additional 7,000 square feet will accommodate expanded banking space, a new insurance center and additional rental space that will be made available.
"With the growth that we have experienced in our non-core banking products, such as insurance, we find additional space is needed," said Brian Harper, chief administrative officer for the Banking Corporation. "We are excited to make additional investments into the communities we serve."
M.D. Limbaugh Construction Company is the contractor for the project, which is now under way. Completion is expected in 2004.
Harper asked that customers who access the Miner facility patience as we undergo the construction phase. "We will make every effort to minimize any inconveniences and I will apologize in advance for that one time we are unsuccessful."
He added insurance products will continue to be made available in all of the bank's 12 locations located throughout Eastern Missouri.
