BERNIE - Donald Ray Farmer, 70, died Nov. 23, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Aug. 3, 1933, son of the late Hershel "Jack" and Dolly Wilson Farmer, he was a member of the Bernie United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was head ginner for the Stoddard County Cotton Company at Bernie before retiring.
On June 29, 1957, at Senath, he married Mary Frances Farmer who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Dan Wesley Farmer of Beaver Dam, Wis., Donald Keith Farmer of Scott City and Derek Kevin Farmer of Jackson; one brother, Gerald Farmer of St. Charles; three sisters, Anita Cullum and Phyllis Farmer of Bloomfield and Vickey Hartline of Dexter; and four grandchildren.
Two brothers, Eddie Farmer and Odell Farmer, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Susan Marner-Sides will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
