Ilene Hitt

ADVANCE - Ilene Hitt, 88, died Nov. 30, 2004, at the Advance Nursing Center.

Born Jan. 17, 1916, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Comelous and Althea Zimmerman Cox, she was a member of the Advance Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

On June 13, 1936, at Jackson, she married Everett Hitt who preceded her in death on May 15, 2002.

Survivors include: one son, Lloyd Hitt of Brownwood; two daughters, Eula Bowling of Dexter and Lois Tweedy of Cape Girardeau; one brother, C.G. Cox of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Virginia Smith of Advance; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Harold Althen officiating.

Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park.
