SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- Steve and Nancy Stephenson have announced the engagement of their daughter, Candace Nicole, to Travis Ray Burger, son of Jim and Robin Kindle of Sikeston, Mo.

A 1999 graduate of Southwestern High School in Shelbyville, the future bride is a store manager at Hush Puppies.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1995 from Kelly High School in Benton, Mo., and works as a business manager for Bening Motor Company in Sikeston.

Plans are under way for a Sept. 3 wedding at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
