MORLEY - Lena J. Morgan, 88, of Morley, died at 11:20 p.m. April 26, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 2, 1913, in Pocahontas, Ark., to the late Dowd and Mollie Hill Johnson, she was a housewife and had owned and operated a cafe at Oran. She had also been a cook for Scott Count Central Schools, was an active 31-year member and past president of the Morley VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5368, and attended the Morley Church of Christ.

Survivors include: two sons, Fred Morgan of Oran and Norman Morgan of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Tempa Throgmorton and Mary Hurn of Pocahontas and Ilene Winebaugh of Rockford, Ill.; and eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Jack Bishop, pastor of the Cavalry Baptist Church in Chaffee, officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gordon Morgan, Charles Morgan, Tim Morgan, Justin Morgan, Mike Williams and John Hannah.
