MORLEY - Charles C. McCann, 71, died at 3:02 p.m. Aug. 31, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 20, 1931, in Sikeston, son of the late Tricie and Edna Counsil McCann, he retired as a mechanic for the Scott County Highway Department in Benton.
On March 17, 1978, he married Annette Childers who survives of the home.
Survivors include: one son, Chris McCann of Morley; five daughters, Angela McCann and Ashley McCann of Morley, Jeannie Newby of Webb City, Trecia Taylor of Sikeston and Laurel Mooneyhan of Newport Richey, Fla.; one brother, Bill McCann of Bertrand; three sisters, Clara Lingle of New Madrid and Norma Yant and Ann Pearson of Sikeston; six grandchildren, including Hunter McCann, who was raised in the home; and 12 great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Jim Matthews will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
