CAPE GIRARDEAU - Dickie Joe Keene, 54, died Oct. 26, 2002, at his home.
Born July 20, 1948, in Benton, son of Mary D. Gunter Keene McFarland of Marble Hill and the late Lloyd Keene, he was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. A 1966 graduate of Puxico High School, he attended Southeast Missouri State University and was manager of Cape Tractor Trailer Supply for 22 years. He was a 25-year member of Elks Lodge 639 in Cape Girardeau and Masonic Lodge 590 in Advance.
On Sept. 2, 1978, at Jackson, he married Debbie K. Seabaugh who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: one son, Lance Cpl. John Wesley Keene, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.; and two brothers, Lloyd David Keene and Kevin D. Keene of Advance.
One sister preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where parish prayers at 6 p.m. will be followed by Elks rites and Masonic rites beginning at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson with Monsignor Ed Eftink officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
