SIKESTON - Mildred Logan Robinson was born Feb. 4, 1911, in Meadowview, Va., the fourth child of Solomon Lee Logan and Victoria Davenport Logan and passed away on March 1, 2003.
She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Medical Technology and worked for the University of Tennessee School of Medicine Pathology Department for four years.
In May 1942, she married William Henry Robinson. Mildred Robinson came to Missouri in 1946 and, following the death of her husband in 1952, joined the faculty of Sikeston Senior High School. She taught biology until retiring in 1976. During her teaching tenure, she undertook graduate studies at the University of Illinois in Carbondale and the University of California in Berkeley. She was a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church in Sikeston.
Surviving are her son, William H. Robinson Jr. of Falls Church, Va.; three grandchildren, Mark Robinson and Colin Robinson of Richmond, Va., and Carrie Forrest of Seaside, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Kara Elder, Noah Robinson and Kali Robinson of Richmond.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rufus McClean, officiating.
