MINER - A man will face charges including DWI, resisting arrest by flight and numerous traffic offenses after leading local law enforcement agencies on a chase.
At approximately 3:47 a.m. today, two Miner police officers began the pursuit of a vehicle with Missouri plates. The chase started on eastbound Highway 62 near the Interstate 55 southbound exit, ending at 4:17 a.m. on Route K's dead end.
Officers from the Charleston Police Department, Mississippi County Sheriff's Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol were all involved in the pursuit.
Two subjects were arrested and taken to the Miner Police Department where the driver is being held pending the filing of formal charges. The passenger was later released with no charges.
