Your View 8/6: Appreciation

Dear Editor:

I grew up in Sikeston but have been away since I left for college in 1962. However, all of my siblings and I keep in touch with our many relatives and friends still there. And we always wish the very best for our hometown.

So I just wanted to say that I appreciate your common sense columns, especially today's (Aug. 1) column. I have yet to read one with which I do not agree.
