SIKESTON - The Sikeston 9th grade basketball team improved to 7-3 on the season with a 50-38 win against New Madrid County Central on Monday at the Sikeston Field House.
Sikeston raced out to a 9-2 lead and never looked back.
"We played pretty well," said Sikeston coach Chris Sarakas. "The kids played hard and we got a good effort out of everybody. We were able to break their press and get some baskets off that. It's a good win for us."

Kash Bratcher followed up with 13 points and Rodriguez Moore had eight points.
A. McIntosh led NMCC with 12 points.
