EAST PRAIRIE - Billy and Kara Adams are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 8:25 a.m. Jan. 31, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Peyton Grace Adams weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19-inches long.

Mrs. Adams, daughter of Bill and Barbara Pope of East Prairie, is a junior at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education.

Adams, son of Joanne and Sean Allred of East Prairie, is employed by Monsanto in Matthews.

Paternal great-grandmother is Geneva Free of East Prairie.

BELL CITY - Larry D. and Casey M. Hicks are the parents of their fourth child, second son, born at 2:31 p.m. Jan. 31, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Andrew Charles Hicks weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19-inches long.

The former Casey Oller, Mrs. Hicks is the daughter of James and Vivian Oller of Advance. She is a shipping clerk for VTG Incorporated.

Hicks, son of Christine Hicks of Charleston and T.E. and Georgia Hicks of Bell City, is a truck driver for Emerson Electric.

SIKESTON - Dianna L. Russell and George A. Plaskie are the parents of their fifth son, born at 9:13 a.m. Jan. 29, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Gabriel Allen Plaskie weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 18 1/2-inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Joyce Goehri of Miner and Rick Patrick of St. Charles.

Plaskie, son of Randall Neal and Pamela Jo Fuller of Advance, is a foreman for Trailer Express.

HAZELWOOD - David Ralph and Brandi Leigh Yant Jr. are the parents of a son, born at 11:02 p.m. Jan. 29, 2003, at DePaul Health Center in St. Louis. Conner David Raymond Yant weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21-inches long.

Mrs. Yant is the daughter of Cheryl Halbert of Hazelwood.

Yant, son of David and Barbara Yant of Matthews, is a student at Sanford Brown Community College and is employed by Walgreen's Pharmacy.

Maternal grandparents are Novel and Nancey Dunnack of Florissant.

Paternal grandparents are C.E. "Bud" and Norma Jean Yant of Sikeston and the late Durwood and Mattie White.

DIEHLSTADT - Steven and Heather Odle are the parents of their third child, first son, born at 3:29 p.m. Jan. 30, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Dustyn Kirk Odle weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20-inches long.

Mrs. Odle, daughter of Cecil and Wanda Francis of Diehlstadt, is a customer service manager at the Sikeston Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Odle, son of the Rev. Mark and Margaret Odle of Diehlstadt, is employed by Raben Tire.
