BLOOMFIELD -- The Stoddard County Conference Tournament was back in action on Tuesday night, with Bloomfield beating Woodland 83-68, and Advance defeating Bernie 58-48.
The tournament will be back in action on Thursday, with Bloomfield taking on Dexter at 7 p.m., followed by Bell City versus Advance at 8:30 p.m.
Colby Sandage scored 20 points, leading Bloomfield to a 83-68 win on Tuesday night. The 6-foot-5 senior was held to five points in the first half, but exploded with 15 in the second half.
Behind Sandage, Tim Perry scored 18 points and Dustin Massey contributed nine. For Woodland, Alex VanGennip led the way with 27 points. Cody McCraw scored 13 and Chris Huffman added 10.
Jared Ritter scored 18 points, Zack Kelley added 12 and Jason Bahr contributed 11 as Advance toppled Bernie on Tuesday night, 58-48.
The Hornets fell behind early, being outscored 21-17 in the first quarter and 14-10 in the second.
Advance rallied in the second half though, outscoring Bernie 31-23 to pull out the win.
Wooldridge led all Bernie scorers with 21 points. Zach Dill added 18.
In the junior varsity tournament, Advance beat Bloomfield 53-20 and Woodland squeaked past Bernie, 39-36.
In the Advance game, James Masters led the Hornets with 12 points. Chris Battles paced Bloomfield with nine.
In the Woodland game, Grant Lehmann led the Cardinals with 11 points and Zach Winchester contributed 10. Jesse McGowan led Bernie with 15.
On Thursday, Dexter will face Woodland at 4 p.m., followed by Advance-Richland at 5:30 p.m.
