CAPE GIRARDEAU - Edison "Curly" Taylor, 83, formerly of LaForge, died at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 8, 2002, at his daughter's home.
Born March 8, 1919, in Loretta, Tenn., son of the late James David and Alice Pugh Taylor, he was of the Baptist belief and was a self-employed painter.
On April 13, 1938, at Lilbourn, he married Myra Haubold who preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 1996.
Survivors include: two sons, Bob Taylor of Dexter and Terry Taylor of Springfield, Ill.; three daughters, Kay Ellis of Elkhart, Ind., and Barbara Greaser and Brenda Glueck of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Exia Dolan of Jackson, Vida Eby of Whitewater and Irene Stringfellow of Chaffee.
He was preceded in death by two sons and four brothers.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fairmount Cemetery with with the Rev. Casey Taylor, officiating.
