CHAFFEE - Sidney Don and Lana Jean Atkins are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 10:01 a.m. Jan. 25, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Peyton Cook Atkins weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and was 21-inches long.

The former Lana Cook, Mrs. Atkins is the daughter of Larry and Janet Cook of Whitewater. She is a speech and language pathologist for Scott County Central Schools in Sikeston.

Atkins, son of Jack and Bernice Atkins and Sid and Angie Whittington of Memphis, Tenn., is a family and consumer science teacher for Sikeston Public Schools.

SIKESTON - Dean Alan and Christine Marie Spurlock are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 12:12 a.m. Jan. 26, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Julia Clare Spurlock weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 18 1/2-inches long.

Mrs. Spurlock is the former Christine Schwendemann, daughter of Ann Schwendemann of Portageville and the late Robert Schwendemann. She is a high school business teacher at the Sikeston Career and Technology Center.

Spurlock, son of Leonard Spurlock and Mary Ann Spurlock of Sikeston, is a sales executive for the Duckett Truck Center in Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Michael Ray and Teresa L. Cohen are the parents of their second son, born at 10:51 a.m. Jan. 27, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Nicholas Jacob Cohen weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20-inches long.

The former Teresa Finley, Mrs. Cohen is the daughter of Cindy and Terry Cole of Sikeston and Donnie and Sandra Finley of Cave City. She is employed by Cole Insurance.

Cohen, son of Benny Cohen and the late Faye Cohen, is employed by B&J Enterprises in Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Ronald Wayne and Lisa Mae Blackburn are the parents of their third child, second son, born at 11:04 p.m. Jan. 27, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Ian Jacob Blackburn weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21-inches long.

The former Lisa Johnson, Mrs. Blackburn is the daughter of Dan and Jewelene Hatterman of Alton and Garlin and Shelby Johnson of Wappapello. She is employed with the Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Sikeston.

Blackburn, son of Don and Kay Blackburn of Sikeston, is employed by Ameripride Linen.
