SIKESTON - Jimmy Keasler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Keasler, celebrated his ninth birthday Thursday afternoon by inviting a group of friends to a swim party. After the party, he took them to his home for refreshments.

PARMA - Parma citizens and many from adjacent communities will join in the dedication of the Parma Post Office Sunday.


SIKESTON - If all goes well when the school bells ring to summon the youngsters to school for the 1964-65 school year, a completely remodeled elementary school will be ready to receive pupils that formerly attended South Grade School. The new school may be called Murray Lane Elementary School or South Grade.

SIKESTON - Dan Cannon, community relations team leader for Southwestern Bell, will speak at Thursday's general membership meeting of the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce.

BENTON - Bobby Hawks claimed his first feature win of the season Saturday night in sprint car action at the Missouri International Racepark.


CANTON - Stacy Buchanan, daughter of James Partee and Andrea Buchanan, has been accepted to Culver-Stockton College for the 1993 fall semester. During her high school career at New Madrid County Central High School, she was active in band, drama, volleyball and basketball. She plans to major in nursing.


SIKESTON - Sikeston Mayor Chuck Leible recently signed a proclamation which declared June 7 as LPN Day and June 7-12 as LPN Week in Sikeston.
