BERTRAND - Oline Stopher Laughlin, 85, died at 10 a.m. Feb. 22, 2003, at The Veranda in Humbree Pointe at Roswell, Ga.
Born Feb. 27, 1915, in Mississippi County to the late James and Hazel Lane Cogdill, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was employed with Brown Shoe Co. until her retirement in 1980 and was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.
On April 19, 1932, she married Earl T. Stopher Sr., who preceded her in death on May 19, 1972. On June 5, 1976, she married Jack Laughlin, who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1999.
Surviving are: two sons, Earl T. Stopher Jr. of Aurora, Ill., and James A. Stopher of Roswell, Ga.; four brothers, George Cogdill of Charleston, Mervin Cogdill of Rockford, Ill., Harold Cogdill of the state of Indiana and Billy Gene Cogdill of East Prairie; one sister, Mary Cogdill Delk of Bertrand; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where a prayer service is scheduled for 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston with the Rev. Ed Nichols, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: B.J. Wilkerson, Derrick Wilkerson, Bryan Wilkerson, Bruce Childers, David Peters and Harold Delk.
