SOUTH GREENVILLE, Ky. - Rufus Glenn Stanley, 49, died of a heart attack at 1:58 p.m. Nov. 24, 2004, at the Crittenden County Hospital in Marion.
Born Oct. 10, 1955 in Muhlenberg County, to Barbara Jean Mayes Stanley of Greenville and the late William Rufus Stanley, he was a meat councilor for 33 years for Food Giant Corporation of Sikeston, Mo.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donavin and Brittany Stanley and Scott Stanley of Greenville; one daughter, Amy Stanley of Barbaton, Ohio; one brother, William Thomas Stanley of Greenville; eight sisters, Brenda Jackson of Louisville, Beatrice Cornette of Murray, Brooksie Dukes and Mary Jeanetta Kelly of Greenville, Connie Marie Slaughters of Clarksville, Tenn., Cindy Elain Polson of Grand Prairie, Texas, Angel Darlene Taylor of Hazel, Ky., and Lisa Gail Willis of Columbia, Ky.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Tom Stovall will officiate.
Burial will be in the Yeargins Chapel Cemetery at Graham.
