Portageville shuts down Richland, 74-22

PORTAGEVILLE -- The Portageville Bulldogs posted their sixth straight win on Tuesday night, beating Richland 74-22.

The Bulldogs were led by Willie Hassell with 17 points and Aaron Bidewell with 15.

For Richland, Scott McGarity scored 15, hitting three 3-pointers.

Portageville (11-3) will travel to Malden on Friday. Richland (0-12) will host Zalma on Friday.

POPLAR BLUFF -- The Poplar Bluff Mules rolled past Doniphan on Tuesday night, 108-65.

All-stater Tony Webb had another big night for Bluff, scoring a game-high 19 points. Sophomore Tyler Hansbrough added 14 and Devon Brown contributed 13.

Cheron Pearson and Desi Higgs each contributed 11.

For Doniphan (5-8, 0-4 in SEMO), Danny Kellas led the way with 16 points. Shane Talburt scored 11. Dale Anderson and Devin Simms each scored 10.

HAYTI -- Malden defeated Bootheel rival Hayti on Friday night, 58-44.

James Farr led the Green Wave with 19 points, followed by Robert Vazquez with 12 and Mario Payne with 11. Roy Barringer led Hayti with 11.
