Farmer - Weddington

PORTAGEVILLE -- Scott Farmer and Carla Farmer have announced the engagement of their daughter, DeAnna Marie, to Jackie Lee "Trey" Weddington III, son of Charlie and Pam Beis of Portageville and the late Jackie Weddington Jr.

A 2001 graduate of Portageville High School, the future bride is pursuing a degree in business technology at the Mississippi County Community College in Blytheville, Ark. Her grandparents are Gene and Euladean Farmer of Portageville and the late William and Mary Campbell, and her great-grandmother is Viola Farmer of Portageville.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 2000 from Portageville High School and earned an associate of applied science in industrial electricity in 2002 from Linn State Technical College. He works for Kelley Electric in Kennett and is the grandson of Charlie and Dorothy Beis of Portageville, Mildred Weddington of Festus, George and Darlene Duff of Scott City and the late Jackie Weddington and Imogene Duff.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the 3 p.m. ceremony June 28 at the First Church of God in Portageville.
