CAPE GIRARDEAU - Kyle Joseph and Emily Jane Schott are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 9:21 p.m. May 31, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. Bailey Elizabeth Schott weighed 5 pounds, 12 1/2 ounces and was 18 1/2-inches long.

The former Emily Bess, Mrs. Schott is the daughter of Steve Bess and Jane Bess of Sikeston. She is employed by Southeast Missouri State University.

Schott, son of Agnes Ruth "Duck" Schott of Ste. Genevieve, is employed by Bootheel Counseling Services.
